The following are some of the uniquely Māori services that are available at Te Herenga Waka o Orewa Marae.

One of our health clinics is now open for business. Bookings essential.



Whether it be the opening of a new facility, cleansing a building or blessing taonga, Te Herenga Waka can help you. All services require koha relevant to the individual blessing.


Kura reo Māori

Te Herenga Waka o Orewa offers a 1 year certificate course (Te Pōkaitahi) and a diploma (Te Tohu Hiwi) in te reo Māori through Northtec. The delivery of these programmes in Silverdale and Manukau are full immersion Te Ataarangi, led by qualified tutors. Courses start in February 2020 and end December 2020.

Registrations for an introductory (6 week)te reo Māori short course is currently registering and will start on the 22nd July 2019.
